About Me
- Name: Mick
- Location: Syracuse, New York, United States
In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks. This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. In these hard financial times this work is more important than ever and I still accept consultancy inquiries. You can contact me by email at: mickmather@yahoo.com

Cheddar, baby.
Great quote.
John M. Mora:
Paper thin slices, please.
Cheese!
I thought this one was from the self portrait series!
I shudder to think back to my high school picture-- I think I had glasses like that-- thanks for the memory :-)
I dreaded school photos...and now I have a fear they'll end up on someones blog...
Thanks for the ghost print suggestion, I had a feeling you would know! It's not quite a ghost print, but the 2nd one does work better than most 1st prints as the block's not so wet. It's partly a ghost but not quite!
Elegia:
:D
hpy:
Well, I didn't wear glasses and long hair wasn't yet the fashion when I was in school.

It's always a hoot to turn on the Wayback Machine! Now, of course, I want to see your picture so start digging and send me a jpeg.
Lucky Dip Lisa:
I doubt that there's any among us who would want our school pictures shown 'round. I don't even have mine anymore ... I wonder what mum did with all of those?
Love this quote!
Tonya Vollertsen:
Thanks, Tonya, Vonnegut certainly had a way with quips like these. :)
