In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks. This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. In these hard financial times this work is more important than ever and I still accept consultancy inquiries. You can contact me by email at: mickmather@yahoo.com

Weekend ahead?
I love both the quote and the illustration, though I don't necessarily see them going together....Great technique!
SusuPetal:
LOL ... sorry, no. This is politically motivated and I refer to the creeping socialism poised to destroy the America that I continue to grow up in. Public transportation anyone?
Coreopsis:
I say thanks for the support on both counts, "C" ... if viewed from the political perspective I mention to Susu, it might offer a stronger connection between the two. Without sounding like a lecturer, or worse, a conspiracy theorist, such issues as failing infrastructure, efforts to control free travel and the delivery of basic necessities enter in here ... well, there I go, stepping straight into it.
If I ignored your political take I would say someone better give that lady a ride somewhere safe...If I don't then I think it's us needing the ride. Knowing the political aspects cetainly adds a lot of depth to it...
Lucky Dip Lisa:
... it's certain that someone is being taken for a ride!
We're smack in the middle of scary times with no end in sight.
I hate it when that happens.
studio lolo:
Me too!
