The quote, obviously, is from the Old Fable known as "Jack and the Beanstalk". The written form of most fables and fairy tales share an oral history that's likely hundreds of years older ... many are frightening and gruesome, designed to keep the children close to the house and in view. But, who didn't know all of that? :)
