Nice vintage feel! Looks like a lonely road down there!
Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong...
Well, I'm a city girl, wouldn't know about lonesome roads.
I like you image, though.
Linnea:
Thanks very much "L"! This shot is taken across the drumlins that define the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Each lake resides in a gentle valley bordereded by rolling hills made up of glacial moraine. This particular shot was taken somewhere in between Owasco Lake and Skaneateles Lake. These roads can be scarcely traveled but, in the summer time, they're a great way to spend the better part of a day.
SusuPetal:
I've traveled all through this area over the years, Susu. From well maintained and paved State roads to pothole-filled dirt roads and even a wagon tracked trail or two. They're not so lonesome when you have someone to travel with; otherwise, yes, best to stay in the city!
I'm coming!! Hope I'm not too late. Looks like a road I want to see more of!
Lucky Dip Lisa:
There are lots of beautiful scenes like this between the Finger Lakes.
