Today's post is a crop of my original image that predates the James Blunt song used in my title by over a year. Blunt describes that feeling of immediate loss experienced when two lover's meet, fall in love at first sight and never see each other again! Within the confines of that fleeting instant, however, is a lifetime and an eternity of loving. Such intuitive knowing can never be less than painful and how we respond, individually, to such angst will fuel stories and songs and folk tales for centuries to come, just as it has for centuries past.
