Oh, this somehow a sad picture. That lonely balloon reminiscing.
That water looks so quiet and peaceful.
The party's really over.

Although this photograph is over ten years old, it was taken in early spring before any flowers or green had begun to show. So, yes, the party of winter is over! That's a glad thing!
That balloon is a great touch...it does look a little sad, as if it were left and that jetty defiantely looks like it's seen a party or few!

Let's put it this way, you won't catch me taking a walk across that thing. :O
Oh no, I love this one! This could be from Finland too, Mick! And I could sit on the pier and be quiet, I guess ;))
By the way, how well do you know New Jersey?! I am traveling there soon, never been there before. Do you know towns called Bridegwater, Lambertville or Flemigton in New Jersey?
I have to take a motel or hotel near to Bridgewater, because my hubby's going there at work. But Bridgewater doesn't inspire me. I think I will prefer lambertville or Flemington? Do you have any tips to tell me?
Don't drink TOO MUCH or youll fall in the water.
Elegia:
I'm sorry to say that I don't know a thing about that part of New Jersey. I hope some internet research will be profitable for you. Let me know how it goes. :)
