"Wallpaper Sample X" digital collage by Mick Mather
"... after years of marriage I'm sure of two things: first, never wallpaper together, and second, you'll need two bathrooms, both for her ..." - Dennis Miller
SusuPetal: I always had painted walls too ... visiting friends or relatives in a place that had wallpaper was always a treat, unless you got caught in mid-peel! :O
Hmmm, "secret visual Laboratory"? Wow, love that! I was actually going to comment on the image you have here but now I am all distracted by the mysterious "secret visual laboratory"! LOL!
Tonya Vollertsen: LMAO ... over the years, many artists have inquired about my tools and working methods. While I'm not averse to telling, it will first require a lecture, with accompanying workshop, and a hefty fee to attend. The "Secret Visual Laboratory" is simply the conglomeration of all the filtering and manipulating softwares I use along with my layering process. :D
In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks.
This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images.
Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr.
In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. In these hard financial times this work is more important than ever and I still accept consultancy inquiries. You can contact me by email at: mickmather@yahoo.com

A beautiful wallpaper, romantic.
I've never had wallpapers, I've painted my walls. My parent were enthusiastic about wallpapers, I remember peeling off walls all my childhood.

I love it! It appeals to the romantic in me.
Lucky Dip Lisa:
Is wallpaper romantic? I guess it must be. :)
Well it is when it looks like this...lol
Lucky Dip Lisa:
Safe to say, then, that we are smitten!
Oh, nice! I really like this look.
Collage Cottage:
All accomplished with a single photograph that was run through my NEW favorite software in the Secret Visual Laboratory. ;)
