There's an expressionist quality about this piece that continues to shake me each time I look at it. I love it one minute and hate it the next. On the bright side, the power it holds to pull me back in over and over is a good thing ... I think. :)

"Sister Existence in a Post Modern Setting"

This image began as another of my experiments that takes an old, black & white photograph as the base layer. Some blocking out, some digital repainting and another face was layered in before proceeding to the usual array of editors and manipulators at the secret visual laboratory. As the work progressed, the lines got thicker (very reminiscent of some of Harlequin's recent work that I absolutely love) and the larger negative spaces became much more expressionistic. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the result.
