Thursday Challenge: Broken -

"Broken"
manipulated digital photograph by Mick Mather
As today's title suggests, broken is the week's theme at Thursday Challenge. The subject is an old railroad bridge, minus the tracks, that once lead from a downtown rail yard to an industrial section of Syracuse, New York as recently as the late 1970's. It's also one of my favorite photographs taken on that part of The Creek Walk that has yet to be realized as an urban walking trail through the heart of the city. I have a series of documentation photographs that will, one day, be exhibited under the same title - "The Creek Walk".

I hear someone singing Hobo's Lullaby looking at this nostalgic pic. Beautiful, both your art and the song.

I'm not familiar with the song ... now I'm going to have to look for it! Mind your singing while you walk, Susu, else you might fall through that big crack there! :O

Like something from Matthew Brady documenting the horrors of our civil war (known in the deep south as "the war between the states").

Thanks so much ... that old bridge is a disintegration project in and of itself!
