...to get to the other side!

"Crosswalk"
digital collage by Mick Mather
Busy streets and busy sidewalks inspire me today and I always wonder where people are rushing away to while enjoying the dance of getting across, over, around and through. It's like a fine choreography in many ways and I've been known to watch such performances for hours.

Now isn't that the truth! I can sit in a sidewalk cafe for hours just to watch the people go by. Maybe I like sidewalks so much because they're rare where I'm from. I just love to walk anyway, my own two feet are the best transportation there is. Have you seen Walkscore.com btw? If not check it out, interesting site.

They look like me, walking, walking, walking -I left today at 7 AM and returned just home, at 8.30 PM.

I'm tired.

I've just peeked into the website and will go back when I have some time. I feel the same way about walking ... but you already knew that. :)

SusuPetal:
That's a good, long walk alright. Where did you go?

I would like t walk more, I used to do when I lived i Paris (and before too) but here in a smaller town you need a car for almost everything. Nobody walks. When you do, people stare at you - just like you do.

Great image - it dances softly and has mystery but also positive energy.

The lines in sidewalk are most effective.

A beauty.
