In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. Dance in black and white - or mostly grey.
This is one of my favorites, ever. Has amazing tones - almost like a Paul Strand contact print - you have nailed it beautifully.

Even though I linked to that old Don Henley song, it occurs to me now that I should've used "Jailhouse Rock"! :)

Strand's use of shadow as line and pattern is truly amazing. Now I have a lot more research to do. :)

Nice and it reminds me of bamboo for some reason, gives it a rather mysterious Asian feel.
