Summer is the theme at Thursday Challenge this week. Who could resist a shady, cool stream bank and a shallow, sunny hole for the fish? I don't have a license so the only fishing I'm doing this year is with the camera. Therein lies another challenge of sorts: take a drive out into the countryside on the next perfectly sunny day ... drive until you can't see any houses and stop at the first little stream or brook you come to. Walk the bank with your camera and keep your eyes peeled ... share the results.Labels: Art Everyday by Mick Mather, brook, countryside, digital photograph, fish, stream, Thursday Challenge

Gone Fishing...isn't that a song by Hoagy Carmichael, must check, yes, it is, but couldn't find it on youtube.
This goes as well:

Countryside is off my reach this summer, a pity. Catch some fish for me, will you!
I'll think about your challenge next time I'm out.
SusuPetal:
I'll catch some for you ... but only with the camera. :)

Anytime you have the chance, Hèléne.
This one is truly amazing - is that a beta? Great. Love it.
John:
Your guess is as good as mine. This particular fish resides in a 2.2 mile stretch of the Erie Canal and there are lots of feeder streams, outflows and such. I suppose a discarded beta could end up there and adapt. Either way, glad you liked this one. :)
