Thursday Challenge: Sweet -

"Sweet"
manipulated digital photograph by Mick Mather
For the theme of sweet at Thursday Challenge this week I began to wonder, "sweet for who? Or is it whom?" This honey bee, for example, seems to find the beautiful vetch flowers a particular treat. I don't suppose we've answered the question but, at the very least, we've expanded the field of possibility. I can say this, the walk in a field of wild flowers where I was fortunate enough to get the photograph was, wait for it ... sweet!

I admire your getting up close and personmal with this feminine bee....few drones in the bee kingdom.

The purple is perfect.

Every honeybee fills with jealousy, when they see you out with me :)

You don't realize just how close! I believe I was within 15" or so of this busy critter. It helps that I have no fear of bees nor of getting stung. As for the vetch, they were beautiful indeed and covering a hillside.

Susupetal:
We really should go out more often. :)

In that field, timing was important but not everything. I followed this one from flower to flower for quite a while and it was well worth the effort. :)

You have a beautiful family. Your family of chocolates wasn't bad either! :D

hpy:
Thank you, Hèléne. As I recall, I did a similar image with a bee last year using a photograph that you gave me permission to crop and manipulate. :)

Elegia:
Getting the color just right took more than half of the time spent creating this - if you don't count the walk. I'm extremely pleased that so many of you are enjoying this one. :)
