I admire your getting up close and personmal with this feminine bee....few drones in the bee kingdom.
The purple is perfect.
Every honeybee fills with jealousy, when they see you out with me :)
Beautiful shot and I like the way you've worked it.
John:
You don't realize just how close! I believe I was within 15" or so of this busy critter. It helps that I have no fear of bees nor of getting stung. As for the vetch, they were beautiful indeed and covering a hillside.
Susupetal:
We really should go out more often. :)
you're lucky you were able to capture it! nice timing! mine is up at http://www.horizonsweb.info/2009/06/thursday-challenge-sweet-chocolates.html
The word for that one is delightful.
This is really sweet (and the honey is too!), I love the sensitive colors of this!
Race:
In that field, timing was important but not everything. I followed this one from flower to flower for quite a while and it was well worth the effort. :)
You have a beautiful family. Your family of chocolates wasn't bad either! :D
hpy:
Thank you, Hèléne. As I recall, I did a similar image with a bee last year using a photograph that you gave me permission to crop and manipulate. :)
Elegia:
Getting the color just right took more than half of the time spent creating this - if you don't count the walk. I'm extremely pleased that so many of you are enjoying this one. :)
The other one was not deklightful, but more evil;-)
hpy:
LOL ... who knows what lurks in their minds, Hèléne. :)
All comments are well desereved. I like the treatment you gave this image after the initial click.
Lisa Sarsfield:
Thanks so much! I must admit that this one has turned into a recent favorite ... and that includes me. :)
