All the way back in March, when I was hard at work on a number of my granddaughters drawings, I posted one called "Scribble Face". That same drawing happens to be the seed for today's post. I'll leave it to all of you to look at that other image and hence to find the little nugget that you see here. So sorry to post and rush off again, but I'll be at a conference all day today with an appearance before the Public Art Commission in the early evening ... more about that later.

Whenever I seem to hit a wall, I'll jump into this rather simple series of images. As I've said a few times before when posting from this series, they're thrown together fast with little attention paid to blocking out, repainting, etc. before moving to the super, secret array of plug-ins and filters. I spent much of the day working on new pieces - tonight's post, however, is an older one that I like for personal reasons. Anyway, now it's time for an evening of mindless entertainment. You guessed it! TV!!!

Today is one of those lazy Sundays where I sat down, surfed around some, checked the mail, read through a few blogs and then let myself wander through a slough of images. It was play time to be sure and I've had a good time. Tonight's post is the result of the most insistent components that emerged through various layers that included car parts, an industrial catwalk & stairwell, the dreamy eyed girl and lots of different filters every step along the way. Now it's time to get something to eat, pop in a DVD and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Without jumping the gun - well, okay, without jumping too much! - there's that feeling of Spring in the air! My own winter funk is lifting and I'm beginning to feel the energy. Soon enough the snow will be gone, the flowers will be popping up and all the pretty girls will have stored their winter clothes for something a lot more - let's just say colorful, shall we? So, tonight's image is a toast to the imminent arrival...raise your glasses - to Spring!

Part of the fun in creating these digital collages is researching old photographs appropriate to the work-in-progress. At other times it's all about the light, the dark, the abstractness of the shapes that make up the whole. Happily, tonight's post falls into both categories. I'd say more but I'm off to a full day of meetings and I wanted to get this one up, in case a bit of pinot noir gets tossed into the mix at the end of the day! :)
