In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. This is hot. Also the colours are hot. That woman (Norma) has nice expression. Perhaps she's very talkative? ;)
Oh dear, this doesn't promise a succesful evening for the ladies. Better to be cool than hot, that's my opinion.
Very 50's your pic somehow, maybe the hairdo does it? The atmospeher seems thick with heat already.

I love these retro gals! They are the grown up ladies I remember from my childhood. I love the contrast between the appearance and the behavior... very realistic!

As you say, the atmosphere is just that. Too, there are those subtle background elements - the fiery glow from the grill and billows of smoke that hint at a certain chaos fueled by the heat and humidity! :D

Retro indeed. My favorite part is DonnaSue's scarf, worn like a headband - very chic in the day.
