In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks. This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. In these hard financial times this work is more important than ever and I still accept consultancy inquiries. You can contact me by email at: mickmather@yahoo.com

That's so beautiful and light. I like it very much.
This is really cool. It feels as if I'm seeing this scene from the perspective of someone with blurry vision trying to make things out. Very cool effect.

I'm glad you like it, Hélène ... and to think that I almost lost this one! :O
Nathanael Lark:
Thanks for stopping in, NL. Ya gotta love impressionism. :)
I eagerly await your conversion of your kodachrome slides to digital so we can experience your "walking hot pants" series.
This comment ought to be anonymous...

Let's try to show some proper appreciation for the capris pants first, shall we? :D
What a great image! Love the effect.
Rrramone:
'Mone!!! Great to see you and thanks, I'm glad you like it. :)
This reminds me that your video is ready. But you have to be patient, it's not yet the 22nd...
SusuPetal:
I'm very patient ... haven't I been? :|
At least you try to be :)
SusuPetal:
:D
This piece is haunting and lovely... Roxanne
rivergardenstudio:
Thanks, Roxanne. I used to do a lot of work like this in the early days when the super secret array of manipulation tools was severely limited. :)
Hey, that's really beautiful! Kind of sad, too, that these two people are sharing the same space but not connecting.
Bella Sinclair:
Yo! Bella! I'm glad you liked this enough to write your story for the image! :)
