"She's Leaving Home. Bye, Bye"digital collage by Mick Mather After finishing today's post this wonderfully melancholy melody from the Beatles Sgt Pepper album began to insert itself in my mind. I'm uncertain of it's significance within the wider scope of change that's not only happening to me, but to millions of others all over the world. The song itself is sad and rife with implications of some dreadful, weighty secret ... too, there's a sliver of hope that all challenging turmoil brings with it. I'm looking for a silver lining.Labels: an Artwork a Day by Mick Mather, digital collage, melody, secret, Sgt Pepper, The Beatles

Leaving home can be a challenge, but it's also very often a bit sad. Your picture is lovely, though, and can also make us think about the adventurous part of leaving. Maybe for a voyage around the world. Why not?
That is one tearful song, so sad.
Your pic has the same feeling. Sadness, although leaving can also be a chance of starting something new.

Yes, a voyage! Why not? You and Susu better step up the pace or you're going to miss the ship! :D

The piece is allegorical for me with a given set of recent circumstances. In the end, this is indeed about the possibility of something new. :)
