Closing in on the equinox -

"Kissed by the Morning Sun"
digital collage by Mick Mather
Some of us are beginning to feel the ping of changing seasons. In this image, the scant sunshine of a new day is a metaphor that stands in for the shortening day while the looming darkness below is a portent of the long dark time ... winter.

Also your hints of autumn in the wisps that are distant trees.

Gorgeous.

Can we please go higher up, where there's sunshine, and no darkness.

John:
There's nothing quite like a few subtle wisps. :)

Of course! Bring some bread, wine and cheese and meet me on the roof.

The kiss of the morning sun,
so lukewarm nowadays,
only a mere touch of something
that has gone away.

See you on the top! I'll bring an extra bottle of wine.

A lovely poem to go with the image, thank you Susu. And, yes, on top ... I have the corkscrew. :)
