"Fog Walk VII"

Here's something from late last fall taken on a photo shoot during a foggy morning and then put through the paces at the Secret Visual Laboratory. Busy, busy, busy ... can't stay to chat.

NEW from Fog Walk 2008 -

"A Walk in the Fog IV"
manipulated digital photograph by Mick Mather
I'm working away on documentations of at least half a dozen of my walking art projects. Today's post carries me another step further in the Fog Walk 2008 series of digital prints and I must admit, this body of work appears to be a gold mine of images. The goal for this year is to begin releasing a series of coffee table books as well as developing a series of guided community walks that will include using the arts so that participants can interpret and document each walk for themselves. Get your map and compass ready!

NEW from Fog Walk 2008 -

"A Walk in the Fog II"

Here's another piece from the new series that I talked about last week. Pulling these together and manipulating them until they appear as drawings is still the goal and I'm finding the process enjoyable and relaxing. Something I sorely need to do as projects at work continue to demand more of my time as things wind down before the holidays. No sooner said than I'm off to a meeting!

Where do I go from here?

"A Walk in the Fog I"
manipulated digital photograph by Mick Mather
As I continue to make forays into the BIG backyard, I seem to be getting closer to organizing my land art projects. Too, my further research and study of the works of Richard Long and Hamish Fulton inspire me as I also begin to embark upon my own program of "Walking Art". Everything seems to be taking shape and it feels right. For the moment, some of the documentary photographs taken one foggy day after completing the Kings Court Cube will become part of that old project under the title "Fog Walk 2008". Today's post is the first to be included in my plans for a proper exhibition ... one foot after the other.
