digitally manipulated photograph by Mick Mather

It's time for Thursday Challenge again. If I'd had my wits about me, I could've used this image for big, the theme for this week. In some ways, I'm kind of glad , otherwise I may have continued to pass this particular piece by. I'll be posting the first version of this at No Matter What Shape-The Archive and you can see that one here if you have an extra minute or two.

Weather report -

"A Darkening Storm"
digital collage by Mick Mather
As the days grow shorter and the weather more changeable it seems like a dark, moody image might be in order. Since it appears that The Finnish Sisters have turned a bit moody too, I'm afraid to say that today's post may not brighten anyone's spirits. Be that as it may, we'll just have to wait and see. :)

Back in the saddle -

"Storm Warning"
digital collage by Mick Mather
This particular piece arrived about 10 days back, in the middle of my recent flu. At times like that, when I'm feeling so under the weather, a playful diversion is as much of a tonic as any medication I may be taking. Even so, the dark and moody nature of it surprised even me. Now that I'm back up to full throttle, as hinted at in yesterday's post, I offer this one up to each of you for other interpretations that might be evoked by our windblown beauty.
