That was then, this is now -

"Imagining the Next Step"
digital collage by Mick Mather
As we ring out the end of another year and look out over the worthless paper scattered at our feet, what's next? I, for one, intend to celebrate with a fine meal, some good wine and an old song this New Year's Eve. Cheers to one and all.

... and all of the best for the new year to you also. Thanks for being one of the truly remarkable people in my world during 2008 and beyond! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We're here in Syracuse--nearby--and celebrating at the hotel with friends!

I love this, though what I see in it is possibly different than what you intended--it looks like a well-dressed woman exploring some old ruins--perhaps looking into her past as the future looms near! Very nice.

Thanks, Mary! I'd ask which hotel but, of course, all I need do is follow the sound of your wonderful laugh and I'd find you soon enough. :D

I'm glad you like the image but I had nothing specific in mind with it to tell the truth.

I love your works, but especially these dark figures are very touching for me!

I have something darker coming along in a day or so. While I can't say that the piece was inspired by Herbert Pfostle I can say that not only will YOU love his work, I'm drawn to it also!
