Illustration Friday: Instinct -

"Instinct"
digital collage by Mick Mather
The title of today's post, instinct, is also this week's theme at Illustration Friday. I suppose it's becoming obvious that I'm having major thoughts of spring. As I believe I may have already mentioned recently, I can smell it in the air even in the middle of gale force winds and the spitting and sputtering of blizzard-like flurries ... (sigh!) ... :)

OH! Adorable! I LOVE THIS! JUST HAVE TO PUT IT in SILK CREEK! SWEET!

Goes with the birdhouses, too, don't you think?

I'm glad you like it and it only seems like it would go with the birdhouses. A nest is surely a bird's home, but not a birdhouse. I'll leave the final decision to you, of course. :)

Lisa Sarsfield:
I don't mean to sound as though I'm blowing my own horn, but I was as amazed and overjoyed as anyone when this popped out of the Secret Visual laboratory! :)

isay:
Thank you very much, Isay ... I'll have to drop by your place later today.

SusuPetal:
Indeed they are and they'll be flying away, beyond the summer sun, sooner than we know! :)

Wonderful work...I wonder if it could put birds off making eggs, those beaks are pretty scary.

Thanks, Susan ... since the eggs come first, I'm pretty sure that the scary beaks are long forgotten before the next batch. Gee, that also solves the age-old question as well, "which came first?"

John:
It can't be far away ... can it?

That's very true, Sarah, but only for one relatively short season. Unlike us, who are needy until the day we die! :D
