"They Loved Jazz and Champagne"digital photograph of original tempera-on-paper by Mick Mather When I say better documentation way up above I'm actually not talking about the piece as it exists here. It has its own charm of course, having been straightened, sharpened and smallered to fit my usual working frame...but, I really need to scan it properly once the buyer steps forward to claim it. The actual painting is a bit larger and quite a lot of detail has gone missing. I'll post this again when that day comes. For now, something easy for me to post and for you to enjoy I hope.

Jazz and champagne
just the perfect way
to start this cloudy
Sunday day.
susupetal:
It's cloudy here this morning too! A toast then? Here's mud in your eye! :D
Kippis,
as we say in Finnish.
It's getting darker...
susupetal:
Yeah! I like that one. Bottoms up! :D
A lot of Jazz, please. Champagne no thanks.
You are a painter too,I am very curious. Hope to see more!

Thanks so much and I feel about the same - more jazz, less champagne. Bourbon? That's another story. I also paint, Trijnie, but not so often anymore. I do have a series of pieces in the works that require a reasonable studio space. I'll certainly share what I have as it seems appropriate.
I like the colors of this one too. And I like champagne before dinner. Jazz isn't bad, either. But maybe not with the champagne.

Thanks so much for this comment. I don't suppose Ive yet discovered the champagne that I would drink more than a sip of - just for a toast you understand. So, as you say, with jazz, maybe not champagne. A nice, dry red wine then? What would you choose?
