This is just great! I like those silhouettes and darkening ground. There's electric power in this pic!
I forgot to say it could be a cross too. Carry your cross and I carry mine (Tiamat). But where's is Jesus!?
Rather strange, the cross is with the wires, not with the church. But this should be unnatural, shouldn't it?
elina:
Thanks so much. I went to silhouette as a nod to the eternal question of life in the dark as opposed to the light. The play on that concept is further delineated by, as you point out, electricity as opposed to the spiritual: where's Jesus? As most know, the church spire represents a finger pointing to heaven, where we expect The Kingdom to be in Western, religious thinking.

I like the way that you put it, Helene. Yes, using the electrical wire pole as an unnatural cross is all part of the hidden meaning in this piece. Not very well hidden but, another tie to that Mystery, yes?
This is great! I like the silhouette and the cross at the "wrong" place.

Thanks, with an evangelical blush! It was the silhouette that struck me as well, Susu ... once I discovered it of course. :)
Did Jesus fall off (oops sorry)
griesmail:
LOL - it's man who does the falling, Trijnie! :)
