susupetal: Awww, thanks for the soup and bread! It must've done the trick because I'm feeling much better today and expect to be able to get back to work tomorrow.
hpy: It's not and thanks so much. I hope DD is getting over it ... I suspect the cats are maintaining a vigil?
I like what you did with your manipulated photo by the way. Be careful, this can be contagious too! :D
harlequinpan: Thanks very much for saying so and for the best wishes. I'm actually feeling much better and, as difficult as it was, two days of bed rest seems to have worked. :)
I love the rustic, earthy feel of this. This almost looks sanded, like you took to a piece of wood and sanded it back exposing parts of it in places. Funny how colour can change an interpretation. I love the 'stone' one on your other site as well but for different reasons. Glad to see you are back.
lisa sarsfield: Yes, blogger has been doing maintenance for the past few days - quite likely the cause of your missing posts. I did receive one other with this one but deleted it as it only made reference to the rascally nature of the system. Anyway, thanks for the welcome back and I'm happy you liked this one, the other one as well come to that. :)
In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks.
This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images.
Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr.
In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. In these hard financial times this work is more important than ever and I still accept consultancy inquiries. You can contact me by email at: mickmather@yahoo.com
