Illustration Friday: Wise -

"Selfportrait of the Artist as a Wise Guy"
digital collage by Mick Mather
I have to admit that I had my hands full to remain patient with this week's Illustration Friday theme, wise. I took almost twice as long as usual to pick something that, no pun intended, suited me and I'm glad I did. It's been a little while since I've added anything to The Selfportrait Series and I was delighted when this came to mind ... do understand, however, I'm easily entertained! Well, I'm off to an exhibition opening, must dash!

'Mone!!! It's good to see you back for a visit and I sure could use a little help with my "Junior Scientist" Back Yard Rocket to the Moon Kit!

Thanks for stopping by ... sorry I wasn't here when you arrived but I did leave the door unlocked. Did you have a cup o' tea while you were here? I see that you're looking in the right direction by the bye ... think pink! :D

As I mention briefly in the post, this was a particularly difficult theme for me. Fortunately, I was able to come up with this practical joke ... thanks for having a laugh along with me. :D

LOL - the photographic evidence is clear! Isn't it? :D

I had to go check out your self portrait series and boy was I giggling...you are so clever! I couldn't find just one favorite but I love the unretouched portrait :)
Keep them coming, they really are great. Are you Danish? I have a bit'o Danish blood, unless I was adopted and never told...

Thanks so much for the kind comments on this post and - with a nod and a wink - for taking some time to look at The Selfportrait Series on flickr! I don't know of any Danish blood in the family tree but it's loaded with Irish, German, Scottish and English. Pass the Jameson's, please! :)
