Compliments to the Chef -

"The Dinner Date"
digitally manipulated photograph by Mick Mather
I'm quite often more interested in small details found in the background than of the main subject in many of my photographs. Such is the case in today's post. If there's a story to tell, I don't have one to share, being too busy with a family dinner of my own at the time. Perhaps some of you know more?

They hadn't met for decades, but one day, they accidentally met and agreed to have a dinner together for old times sake.

The restaurant was filled with roses, it was actually called the Rosy Tea Room. The waiter lit a candle on the table, and the warm glow cuddled and suddenly years, that had separated them, vanished and they were young as they once had been.

Young and in love.

I'm always delighted by your work. The recent turn into photography and what I can only describe as more experimental studies, tell me you're stretching, possibly into another direction. A lot of this, as I compare it with the larger body of accomplishments, is making me think more. As you may know, I visit everyday even if I don't comment quite that often.

SusuPetal:
I knew I could count on you, Susu ... this a marvelous story. :)

John:
Yes, that rain, it's working it's way slowly to my front yard. Not, I might add, as slowly as the arrival of my piece of that dessert!
