Illustration Friday: Camouflage -

"Camouflage"
montage by Mick Mather
Excerpt from The Vignettes - "Light Show"
"The withdrawing rays of eventide mottle the skin. Playing tricks on the eye the spears shimmer and shine, rolling out the velvet shadows of night. Within their dim recesses she sits and waits. In a moment the street lamps, a willing partner, are set to work their magic, covering crows feet, blemishes and the harshness of her daily life."

This is a beautiful piece, both visually and in narration.

Thanks with a blush, lolo. Much of my work, from about a year ago and back for a few more, had these very short written pieces attached to them. It's a work-in-progress of sorts that I'm still mum about - for now. :)

You know that I've missed you but, we all need a vacation to recharge the batteries. I say thank you, with my usual blush, for the always welcome and kind words about my work. I also thank you for the comment on the slide show. This particular service has over a dozen different slide show templates, many of them very good. Go look if you haven't already.

Thanks so much for saying so. I took a fast tour of your sketchblog and was rolling on the floor at a few of the cartoons. Do stop back. :D
