Thursday Challenge: People -

"The Dissatisfied Smoker"
montage by Mick Mather
Hmmm, is it that much trouble to come up with different themes? This week at Thursday Challenge we get people again. The last time was only this past February and, while it's of no consequence to me in the big scheme of things - especially since my subject matter is people most of the time - I'm thinking that a repeat ought to have at least a few years in between.

This picture makes me think of Lauren Bacall, somehow. Although the woman in your picture doesn't exaclty look like Bacall, there's something in that pose, the weariness, the absolutely still moment.

Nice. I like it.

Thanks for making that connection and I really like the way you put it. That said, this almost didn't make the cut ... I was in a hurry, had a late meeting to go to that evening so, up it went. I'm pleased, as I always am, when someone else finds something in the work that I don't see.

Yes, again one of you girls sees one other thing that I don't. Glum and spoiled also fits this perfectly and I'm delighted to hear it put into those words. :)
