NEW from The Nightmare Series -

"Not Fade Away"
$50 unframed - LUCAS GALLERY
digital collage by Mick Mather
First, if you were expecting to see this week's addition to Illustration Friday, you can see it at my Outer Dust Rings blog. Now then, this week seemed to fly by, until today, which felt like it lasted a whole week! In fact, it was like a nightmare, so a new post to this series seems rather appropriate. In some ways the image is a metaphor, where current and upcoming changes along with the ability to weather the storm leaves one battered and bruised, but still here. Stay tuned.

Sad.
That is the first word that popped into my mind looking at this pic. I'd like to grab her and hold her before she vanishes.
And at the same time, I'm wondering, if it's opposite -is she coming into view.
Puzzling.

Hey! I did meet Kirsi yesterday! We had a wonderful soup in a cozy restaurant. Nice day! It turned out green.

Thanks for the differing ideas of the subject here. As the title suggests, a little bit faded, beaten down, but not going away. So, at the point of actual recovery? Back into view she comes. A real head scratcher this!

It's wonderful that you got to have a day with Kirsi. Too bad that the soup turned out "green" ... :D
