Off and away -

"The Estate Planner at the Crosshairs of Memory"
$50 unframed - LUCAS GALLERY
digital collage by Mick Mather

My folks are having a party out at the lake and, as a dutiful son, it's where I'm off to as soon as I finish this. The piece itself was a difficult task and it gave me fits all morning. My better judgment keeps telling me to hold this for a while, but, I'm thinking now. Here tis! See you out at the lake. :)

Hmmmmm, no, it's not connected at all. So I went back and forth a bit to study both images and there is a remarkable resemblance. Go figure! :D

Thanks for this critique and I can see each issue that you raise. I have some layers of this that are darker and it wasn't working so I stayed light. I can't discount more darkness, though...maybe do it differently. I also see what you mean about being on one plane. So, a little punch is what it needs and on one of those days when I'm stymied I may revisit this. As I said in the post, my own better judgment had something to say and I pressed forward anyhow. A critique like this one is extremely valuable to me and I say thanks again. :)
