Illustration Friday: Tales and Legends -

..."Far, far away, across the pampas and beyond the guardian forest where colors merge with fog and dusk and gray. There, in the land of milk and cheese, resides the magic box. A wizard holds the oft sought revealer of truth, plying and turning, switching the worn, grooved buttons this way and that. Always the iconic image of an ancient one who has lost the perfection of his smile appears. Offerings are made, advice is sought and given...then, visions of what may come to be arrive with a warning: ignore your teeth, they'll go away"...

OOOoh, I like this a lot, I love the combination of the Serengeti or steppes or whatever is is with the mouth and the milk carton etc, it really startles and makes you think--come aware.

LMAO ... now why didn't I think to put THAT one in my little legend? I like the way you think, Laurel! :D

mary stebbins taitt:
LOL, glad you like it, Mary. You sure covered most of the stuff that went into this one. To tell you the truth, it makes me think too, again and again, every time I look at it. :)

You have an interesting blog, lots of different things to look at! Real and unreal. I like this last collage, the unlikely combination of images work well together.

Thanks for making a visit to my place, Lisa. I was peeking around at Shani Thomas' blog, decided to visit you, and was fascinated with some of the work you're doing. I've added you to my links, I'll be back from time to time.

I'm delighted that you got a kick out of the story, Diana. Truth be told, it's a reflection of my own teefs troubles between the holidays at the end of last year.

susupetal:
