Although I've not bothered to mention it, I've been on vacation for the last 10 days. I spent that time loafing, reading, eating, napping, visiting relatives and friends while putting in minimal hours here at the secret visual laboratory. Next week I begin traveling a little bit and will be away, off and on, for the next eight days. That said, I'm not yet certain how my posting schedule is likely to go and, as we have here today, some post and run days will be the norm. Come to this image, it's a piece created for an old mailart call known as "The Exquisite Squares Project" from almost a decade back if my calculations are correct. The original square was done completely in MS Paint on my old Zenith Data Systems computer running Windows 3.1 - not long ago that square was turned into this artistamp. Now, it seems to be time for that nap! :DLabels: $50 unframed - LUCAS GALLERY, an Artwork a Day by Mick Mather, artists' postage stamp, mailart, Windows 3.1, Zenith Data Systems

I say thanks with my usual blush ... and now? Time for a nap!
I suggest you sell those to the state of California. It could be good promotion for the Napa Valley. They would be beautiful stamps.
Nice and colourful. Looks a bit like candy again. I could eat them!
Have a nice vacation! Btw, how long vacation do you usually have in USA?

Now there's an excellent idea! You have the wheels turning in my head. I'll be certain to discuss this with my agent. :D

Thanks with a blush for the comment ... also for the vacation wishes. An average vacation for workers in the USA is 2 weeks. I'm a bit more fortunate since I have a 3rd week coming this year. I'm also off the week between Christmas and New Years Day. Not bad, but, of course, working in the not-for-profit sector, our salaries are often half of what we would make in the private sector.
It's quite short vacation You are lucky to have longer :)
(We have usually one month vacation in summer, and if you have been over about one year at the same work place you have an extra week in winter time.)

I suppose it's time I figure out how to move to Finland! :)
