Illustration Friday: Missing -

"Selfportrait of the Artist Waiting for the Tooth Fairy"
digital collage by Mick Mather
We have an image serving double duty this afternoon since the theme at Illustration Friday, missing, sent me all the way over to the Selfportrait Series to search for a concept. Hence, we have me standing agape seeking to flag down that Flittering Fay with the moneybag. What? I have to be asleep first! Okay, but I wanna see a silver dollar on the night table in the morning!

So shut up and sleep:)

What will you do with the money you get from the Tooth Fairy? Buy some candies? That's baaad...

But, missing tooths are somewhat endearing, at least with small children:) Your self portrait reminds me of something else...!

LMAO @ "shut up and sleep" ... and you very well know that I'll spend the money on a shot of brandy! The perfect thing for teefs!

Tell me, what is the "something else" that my selfportraits remind you of, Susu?

Well, I was thinking about a child not that young anymore and now I came to think about too many brandies...:D

I'm off to sleep, it's midnight here, a perfect time to meet the dreams.

Something's really missing! I can't see your left eye eather. Is it only behind the shadows or is it missing too?! Scary!

Well Mick... did you get the cash? I think the tooth fairy stays away from adults, but perhaps you got lucky! This image looks kind of scary! The angle, the posterized grain, and the open mouth makes you look like you're snarling! Perhaps this is the Mick Hyde? As always... an awesome piece of digital manipulation... you are the master!

(Thanks for visiting my new blog!)

LMAO @ "is it missing too?" It's there, in the shadows! :D

Cash? I got a crick in my neck for all of my trouble! I like the reference to Mick as Mr. Hyde and I do look a bit snarly. Thanks (blush!) for the wonderful title.
As for the new blog, I like the layout very much ... as you may know, I've already changed your link in my blogroll.

The brandy bottle is missing this morning. Do you know where it is?

I have a sneaking suspicion that it's all the way over to France. At your house! Since I awoke all the way south in Villefranch, high above la mer amongst strangers, my question now is, "was I well behaved before being tossed out"? :)

Whoa, not your most flattering self-portrait now is it? That tooth fairy better bring you more than half a buck! I can picture leavng a little nip of brandy under your pillow :P

LOL, not very flattering at all, Laurel. I have a feeling that my grimace is a portent of:
1. no money
2. a brandy soaked pillow! :O
