Illustration Friday: Wedding -

"A Perfect Wedding"
digitally manipulated photograph by Mick Mather
- original photo by Mary Stebbins Taitt -

"...at first, Midge was basking in the glow of this perfect morning together with Ted. She laid aside the book of love poems, certain that a breakthrough regarding his inability to commit was imminent, but wasn't happy when he finally spoke of its perfect blend of style and content. It wasn't quite the wedding that she had envisioned..." - a flicktion by Mick Mather

Thanks very much (blush!) for this comment. As assigned, the original photo is courtesy of my very good friend Mary Stebbins Taitt. :)

When I saw the theme for IF this week the first file I went to was the one that holds the photographs you've sent me over the past two years. After choosing this one, I wondered what the young couple might be talking about ... then and there, the theme took over and the little story practically wrote itself! :)

I say thanks very much for this comment. I feel fortunate when an image reaches that stage where it can be seen, all by itself, as poetic. :)

LOL ... as your quandary suggests, it could be either one ... or neither one! The parallel universes are everywhere and once mankind discovers the original hinge we may finally be on to something. :D

The light is cold and she looks the other way -I see divorce here.

LOL @ seeing a divorce. Maybe, but they'd have to get married first. :)

Often times the wedding isn't what we expect. Hopefully, the marriage is! Thanks for your comment. The twin remark made me chuckle.
