... and the rest o' the day to you! -
" ... beware the dark corners,
the shadows in the low road
and the distant weep 'n wail,
a'sure to curdle the blood
of men braver than I.
In time with the Tabor,
beat the stepping ground
by yer blackthorn stick,
best to warn away the trick
of the bean sí song of death ... "

this is all so green. i'm sure it's part of a conspiracy to keep my pinching fingers off your cute cheeks.
i'm in a pair of green PJs, right now, and red wooly socks. it's only 4 in the afternoon, but i just felt like vegging out. so it's 2 DVDs, hot chocolate, and a thick fleece blanket for me, honey.
the truth about cats and dogs, and the quiet man.

No wonder my cheeks were a'tingle today (all four of them!) ... :O
A lovely picture you make in all o'that warm 'n cosey. Too, who could deny the power of that particular John Wayne movie? I love the part where he tosses Maureen O'Hara over his shoulder and takes her home!
A green curse. Damn!
The pic is truly silvery green, I like the texture.

It's a warning too, I think ... so beware of stray combs in the road and sweet singing 'round that bend in the rill. :O
beatiful frightning green monster
trijnie:
Thanks so much, Trijnie. I have to admit, I worked on this right after studying the detail of your most recent painting - for about the third or fourth time. There's something beautifully frightening about that particular piece too and I haven't known what to say about it. Well, now I suppose that I have. :)
You are the target. I'm gonna shoot you!
elina:
Jeepers! I should have known you'd see something like a target. As minimal as it is, it's supposed to be a Celtic Cross. :)
