What station is this?

"Study for A Stained Glass Window"
manipulated digital painting by Mick Mather
I was playing with a new widget last week and some interesting things began to happen after running the initial painting through the usual array at the Secret Visual Laboratory. For instance, this reminds me of some Church windows that depict the Stations of the Cross. I suppose this post is fitting since I'll be working with bits and pieces of glass for the next two days ... and, he's off!

Painted glass windows are beautiful, and I bet one doesn't have to wash them as often as regular windows!!

I see a parrot in that window. Maybe I'm getting the fever again....

I agree, on both counts. However, a parrot? I'm struggling to find it and when I do, perhaps consideration might be given to the idea that this is the "Station of the Skull and Crossbones". :O

Thanks, Hélène, and I agree with you. Now, I better be careful what I wish for or I'll be building this for a client! :)

geez. the colour alone is so beautiful it makes my chest hurt.

i love the way it bleeds into the light.

it makes sense. light is made up of colour...and colour cannot exist without light. it is, after all, something of thought...something we make of the light we perceive.

okay. i'm going to be quiet now...it's just that i love colour...there should be some sort of philosophy about colour, shouldn't there?

Hey you!!! It's good to see you get out of the house once in a while! I really appreciate all of the comments here and, yes, there should be some sort of philosophy about color. I mean, there already is, isn't there? If not, what in the world are we paying BIG money to those egg-headed color therapy wonks for? Your hour is up, please pay my secretary a kazillion dollars on your way out and I'll see you same time again next week! :D
