In its short-sightedness, blogger has turned its back on those of us stuck with old operating systems and I'm forced to find a new blog host. You will now find MickMathersARTblog at Blog.com - use the direct link found in the masthead and remember to update your bookmarks. This place will continue as another archive for a large body of my work. As many of you know, my primary medium and working method is digital collage composed of manipulated photographs often combined with digital drawing & generative images. Netlabels, bands and musicians can view samples of my CD Cover Art at Mick Mather Illustration located on Tumblr. In another life I was an Arts & Culture consultant specializing in revitalization planning through creative public art projects and programs with Economic & Community Development Departments of towns, villages and cities. Painted glass windows are beautiful, and I bet one doesn't have to wash them as often as regular windows!!
I see a parrot in that window. Maybe I'm getting the fever again....

I agree, on both counts. However, a parrot? I'm struggling to find it and when I do, perhaps consideration might be given to the idea that this is the "Station of the Skull and Crossbones". :O
This is great...would make a fabulous series:) I love the molten glass/stained glass look.

geez. the colour alone is so beautiful it makes my chest hurt.
i love the way it bleeds into the light.
it makes sense. light is made up of colour...and colour cannot exist without light. it is, after all, something of thought...something we make of the light we perceive.
okay. i'm going to be quiet now...it's just that i love colour...there should be some sort of philosophy about colour, shouldn't there?

I mean, there already is, isn't there? If not, what in the world are we paying BIG money to those egg-headed color therapy wonks for?
