"Astonished By A Fall"digital collage by Mick Mather As today's post suggests, this seems to be the second day in a row that I've used these earthy hues. That aside, I've been using some old filters along with the new...just playing around and experimenting for the most part. This image was really a throw away, but as so often happens, it turned out fine. I'm off to hang an exhibition this afternoon and evening so, must dash.Labels: an Artwork a Day by Mick Mather, digital collage, plug-in filters

Wow, that's something!
I can't decide what the lady is doing: Having "some fun" or in pain... Cause I'm so dark person I think she's suffering.
I love this collage, I really do!

Thanks (blush!) for this wonderful comment. As you know, I often seek the dual meaning, the double entendre or the ambiguous in my work. We have an old expression here - based upon, of all things, a TV Advert Campaign for hair coloring: "Only her hairdresser knows for sure." So, I'll leave it at that. :D
Throw aways tend to turn into master pieces, I've noticed. Not always, but very often.
Like this. The woman in the pic is surely experiencing big emotions; wish I was her hair dresser:)

I certainly thank you, with my usual blush, for these comments. I was just chatting with a local gallery director about working through all of the issues that artists must - learning your medium, learning how to use your tools - and about having a large body of good work ready before running headlong down the road to exhibiting the work. In some ways, I was thinking of the "throw away" that turns into something really good while engaged in that conversation. Still, it's all about that hairdo now that you bring it up, yes? :D
Yes!
