Illustration Friday: Pet Peeves -

"Cheap Distractions at The Indigo Cocktail Lounge"
digital collage by Mick Mather
Another tough theme - pet peeves - at Illustration Friday this week. Since I've been working on this piece off and on for the better part of the month, I decided to go tongue-in-cheek and make it fit in here. In the long run, is this really a pet peeve? Not exactly for myself since a situation like this, as often as not, can be good entertainment. So, for who ... or is that whom? Bar tender! One scotch, one soda, one beer ... curtain please. :)

Hi Mick

Great work!i really love it.

Today is the day of Taiwan's president election, "Syllogism" and "Fickle face" are use to irony for the candidate who don't have integrity.

I live in hope that they will ... can it be a proper Birthday without them? :D

harlequinpan:
I see ... thanks for clearing that up and good luck electing a candidate that can reason from the general to the specific in a way that will help the people. :)

This isn't really all that much of a peeve for me personally. At the same time, the question has been raised: "How much Scotch?" I'm thinking that a hip flask ought to do it, however, single or double malt? A blend? How old? I'm certain that this will require a carefully monitored test! Okay, okay, so we don't have to monitor it that closely!

Thanks for doubling up on the Birthday Wishes. I'll be at Shifty's tomorrow night - looking for a hip flask! :D

Yes, my birthday was Saturday, March 22nd! I'm certain that this date is shared by many with one of our better known celebrities being none other than William Shattner. Party on Captain Kirk! I thank you with a big ol' blush for your comment, Carla, and I do believe that our artwork should always hold a bit of mystery and intrigue. :)
